Dal Lake can be said as the heart of Srinagar, Its huge compared to anyother lakes in India. Its also is famous for its houseboats which serve as a livelihood for many locals and a point of attraction for tourists. Also many royal Parks, known as Mughal gardens are located right outside its periphery. One can have a nice stroll in the lake by hiring these beautiful boats also known as Shikara. An evening shot from the Shikara i hired.

Nice colored frame contrasting with the blue mountains and their reflection in the lake.

I agree with my friend Claude about the clever framing; however the colour saturation is too extreme. For me, excessive colour and contrast are problems of digital photography, as post production software makes it so easy to "play"!

I have to agree with Will here, the framing is very good but the colours have been tweaked so much it is totally unreal. I know some people prefer it this way and it is really a question of taste, but in my opinion...............
