Photographer’s Note
This is the 84th picture of the series.
This is the second picture of the lake and definitely not the best one among the nine that I plan to post, but I did not want to skip this one and wanted you all to have the entire idea of the lake and place around it.
Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake is one of the largest salt water lake in Himalayas. It is situated at India China border at an altitude of approximately 4220 meters above MSL. The lake is approx. 134 Kms long and 5 Kms wide and only 1/3rd of its area is in India. Remaining 2/3rd lies in China. The ethereal beauty of the lake lies in rich deep blue color of its water.
It is approximately 150 Kms away from Leh which requires 5 hours drive which is both beautiful as well as demanding. But the moment you recah here, trust me you forget all your fatigue. Foreigners require Inner Line Permit which is easily available at Leh through touris / Taxi operators or local Admn. office. Due to security resaon boating is not allowed in the lake. There are no over nght stay arrangements on the lake (whic in a way is good to keep the beauty of the place), however a few miles short of lake some tents and a few rooms are available to spend the night. A must visit during the trip to Leh Ladakh region.

This place is fantastic. Colors are great and the contrast of the reddish rock with the blue is perfect.
Jou might consider to correct the slightly tilted line.

Hi Hemant,
Lovely colors! Brilliant blue to go with a contrasting brown. The clouds add to the atmosphere.
Good capture.

Hi Hemant,
This series are a bit long and monotonous for those following them day after day, however seen as a whole quite interesting to see how the landscape gradually becomed that empty area of void.
Have a nice day JY

Hello Hemant
Pangong lake is a blissful sight & though you say this is not the best in the series, this is a fine image especially with the deep blue. You've got fine layers here and the barren slopes on the BG. Nice work!

The colors at this photo are incredible. They make a lovely contrast and you succed to capture it in a very vivid way. Because of the cars we get a good idea of scale but you include them in a not disturbing way. Good work.
