A view from around the village of Parkachik in the Suru valley. You can see the 7000m peaks of Nun Kun dominating the skyline.
This place marks the boundary of Buddhism and Islam in the Suru valley. As you head down the valley, Parkachik is the last Muslim town, the next is Buddhist.

Hey David!!!

The picture is very sharp (as most of such landscape pictures should be) and very well composed. You can really feel the hight of the mountain. The colors are good too, although the bottom is a bit green for my taste.

What a fantastic landscape! You have already made an unforgettable series of pictures from Jammu and Kashmir, the most beautiful place in our country. The colour composition is very nice, the sky, the clouds, then come mountains and at last the beautiful valley. In addition, the 7000m peaks of Nun Kun seems to be so near....really wanderful job!

Great mountain scenery. The colour and textures of the sky balance well with the green fields in the foreground. Having just travelled from Leh to Kargil and the Suru valley I'm really keen to see the rest of Kashmir - next year hopefully!
