Photographer's Note
This was taken in Leh. Its landscape, sky, shooting stars, silence, wizened faces, rosy cheeks, dragons and Zen – everything makes Ladakh a quite place to visit. This ethereal cold desert that goes by names such as ‘The Last Shangrila’, Moonscape, Little Tibet and so many others – all of which ring true, is a land that seldom fails to baffle or surprise.
The start and rugged landscape is situated amidst multiple-hued mountains, some smooth enough to rub your cheeks on, others scraggly as though termites have had a go at them for breakfast. Miles and stretches of this never-never land, surprised by quaint little vibrant green hamlets oozing wild roses and lavender, fringe the life-giving Indus River.
Ladakh is a land like no other. Bounded by two of the world's mightiest mountain ranges, the Great Himalaya and the Karakoram, it lies athwart two other, the Ladakh range and the Zanskar range.

Hello Benjamin, This could have been a very nice picture if.... It was not slightly tilted to teh left and if the curve of the flags was not cropped, as well as a bit sharpness would have helped. It's a shame. Anyway Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Michael

Thanks for this great view of Leh in front of us.THe PoV is fine. WE get an accurate view of the fort on those rocky mountain.
Should have improved the sharpness .
The sky colours and the decorative bands are brillant
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Benjamin, What I like most in this picture is the clarity of colors. The colored flags ribbon and clear blue of the sky are really nice. The thickness of the clouds is also quite good. I would say the picture lacks a bit of sharpness but that's probably due to the scan. This can be adjusted (to a certain extent) using UnSharpMask of PhotoShop.

Hi Benjamin,
This is a lovely pic. I love the colours, composition, and contrast. Although it's possible to find fault here with the way it appears to be angled to the left and the slight lack of sharpness, it's still an outstanding image and you can be proud of it.
Hugs,
Tony

Hey Ben,
very nice shot, sort of the Nat Geo style of photography. The scene is really dramatic and the flags are a great splash of color.

Hi Benjamin - wonderful perspective showing the prayer flags which add bright colours to the bleak but fascinating scenery.

I'm afraid your note is better than your image this time Ben, especially the 2nd paragraph. Very descriptive and almost emotionally definitive. And for the effort of getting here. It must have been a tough trek.

- Astonishing and excellent point of view for this very beautiful image, the colors brought by the flags still adds to the unit, well done!

Great framing of a great place, I like this cloudy sky and the prayer flags flapping in the wind, also the nice curve they form in the sky...

well tried but not the best composition as the flags are centrally composed & I think that the POV could have been better if explored a little more on it...
