Piaggio first licensed the production of Vespa scooters in India to Bajaj Auto in the 1960s. In 1971, Piaggio's license was not renewed as a part of Indira Gandhi's privatization programs. After the collaboration ended, Bajaj continued to produce scooters based on the Vespa design, namely the Chetak.
Another Vespa partner in India was that of LML Motors. Beginning as a joint-venture with Piaggio in 1983, LML, in addition to being a large parts supplier for Piaggio, produced the P-Series scooters for the Indian market. In 1999, after protracted dispute with Piaggio, LML bought back Piaggio's stake in the company and the partnership ceased. LML continues to produce (and also exports) the P-Series variant known as the Stella in the U.S. market and by other names in different markets.

what an interesting mixture of new and old, strange that a well looking door leads into somewhat broken wall. Good management of light and colours

Great saturated colours and very sharp. I like the touch of humour. The scooter already in front of the door, now lets rebuild the house.

During the time of 1964 I drove with a Vespa 125cc, but Belgium is not a country for a Vespa, to much rain and cold.
Composition and presentation are lovely.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice November 1,

From the narrow streets of Rome, the busy thoroughfares of New York to the towns of India, it seems the Vespa is a universal language of transport for urban places, and you have captured this one in a particularly beautiful place. A fine backdrop, perfect light and excellent colors.
Thanks as always

Now this is well composed image that had great light and colour. the door contrasts so well with the blue sky and I like how the shaft of light is in line with e front wheel of the scooter. An original composition and quite artistic.

This attractive cute Vespa is a rare find nowadays, a simple standout shot finely taken against the charming weathered wall. The warm tones, shadows and colours create lots of live. May i suggest you to crop the sky area, it does not serve any purpose, it's distracting and the blue appears unnatural. These are my honest opinions. Thks.

Very interesting background for this scooter. Good contribution to the Vespa theme, so popular on the TE. Thanks for the informative note. I remember Chetak and we have used this scooter in Goa too.
