Winding Road Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is the road we were on from Leh winding our way through the Himalayas in the Ladakh region and stopping to visit various monastaries along the way. The starkness of the landsacpe made it beautiful for me. Vehicles have to pass each other on these narrow roads very closely and it is quite a hair raising experience.

Hi Wanda,
OMG! What a road! I felt worried for the truck and its driver, because i guess this road goes miles and miles ahead. Looks dangerous for any visitors, but attractive for any photographers.

framing is very well done
the truck on the left gives a clue on the dimensions of that place, beautiful place even if there is no life, no vegetation...

Yeah, it is a trip to travel on these sinuous and narrow roads so close to the edge :) Impressive view from a well chosen POV over the barren mountains with a good sense of depth.

Great shot, great POV, however topmost part is bit bright. I hope you enjoyed winding roads in Himalayas. (it must be on the way to Pang from Sarchu).
