Photographer’s Note
This lady is Lobzang Tsomo, the one who actually owns this field. It is very common in Ladakh to see women working in the fields and helping their family.
Generally in weeding time, all women get together and target the fields one by one (perfect example of living in harmony). They tie the babdana on their head and mouth, nose to avoid getting dust. Unfortunately, she removed the bandana to talk with me, and dust went in her eyes. Oops...bad me! Anyway, it is a treat to see these women working in lush green field wearing colorful cloths, and beautiful smile.

Hello Vandana,
You captured a nice portrait here.
Colours are vivid and the sharpness of the lady is ideal with respect to the background.
A pity she closed her eyes ;-)... if it weren't to illustrate the title and the note !
Regards,
Eric /.
