Photographer's Note

Gujjar Girls of Aru Valley

This particular picture I took was in the middle of a beautiful small valley, Located on 3 hrs trek from Aru and on the way to Chandanwari

I found these three girls playing.. Near their hut (gujar kotha) which can be seen in another corner of the valley, made of Log wood. After taking some pictures of them and some pictures of the place. their was the sudden rain shower and we rain towards the only hut (gujar kotha) in this small valley.
Were we meet the other members of the family also. Their father greeted us and said “chai choo” means ( lets us have tea ) which we happily accepted we shared our boiled potatoes, eggs and Bananas with the family. During this we chatted a bit with them. and found them very hospitable..
At the end he gave me his stick so that i won’t fall as it was slippery because of heavy rain fall
