Photographer’s Note

This is a close up of the Friendship Peak and Hanuman Tibba which rise to almost 6800 mtrs in the background. The ruggedness of this range is to be seen to be believed - absolutely fantastic.

On a clear day, the early morning sunlight falls on it and provides some stunning views. If you can start at around 5.30 in morning from Manali, you will be in time for the views. We tried for two days, but failed because of the fog. On the third day when we gave up, we saw that magnificent view from our hotel room.
