Photographer’s Note

This photograph is of the picturesque Solang Valley(2501 Mts) in Himachal Pradesh which is 14 Kms from manali and is well known for Paragliding in the summers and skiing in the winters. offering spectacular views of the snow-clad mountains and the glaciers all around. Solang is the venue for paragliding and the annual skiing courses.

The Solang valley is generally recognised as adventure country. The green slopes and the moderately strong winds here are ideal for paragliding.

Getting into this green slopes...one can very well feel the mamothness of nature with slowclad mountains in the backdrop and the green carpet going up to very far.

this is perfect place for camping and unwind from daily life.

Uauh! The colour of this picture is really amazing! I wonder how did you manage to upload witj only 200kb and maintain the quality!

I am sufryng to keep my pictures sharp with such a low resolution that this website needs.

Hi Indranil,
I like htis place with many greens ans nice mountains, also a nice hanging cloud on them but you have left too much foreground empty space and on my screen the picture appears too saturated.

Hi indranil,
a very good shot except for the fact that it is oversaturated,i've been to slang in all the seasons and the colors look a bit unreal.

Hi Indro,
Love to see Himachal snaps.Fantastic vivid colours.Specially the left side colours are very gorgeous.The bottom part I feel is a bit overexposed and I guess it requires a crop..Still love it.......

I would like to disagree with Jean.....the empty space on the foreground is meaningful and if cropped, the shot would become shrinked and look like a crowded shot...where as you have given us the moods of great landscape and serenity.
The inclusion of life in the shot ads dynamism to your shot dear brother, and the sky is beautiful...a blue perspective.
I am happy that dear Dhurjati also likes this shot.
