Photographer’s Note

hi all,
this is one of my favourite pics taken in solang valley in the month of february;i was awestruck by the beauty of this place,clear blue sky,snow-clad mountains,green slopes covered with snow.solang valley is about 12 km. from manali at an altitude of around 8000 feet.it is one of the best ski resorts in india with a indian mountaineering training institute,it also is the starting point to many awesome treks like beas kund.the valley itself has abundance of natural beauty,lush green vegetation,snow clad mountains and solang nullah flowing in the middle,in summers the meadow takes an amazing shade of green and paragliding is quite common in those months,the mountains in the background is pir panjal range between 4000-5000 metres.

Nice view of the pir panjal range, and certainly looks idyllic. I have never seen so much snow up here. A nice V that you obtain in the composition, maybe a bit more contrast is needed for the full magnificance of the mountains. I enjoy your notes, so much has changed since I lived up here....paragliding???

This is one of your better pictures Risabh. Good colour though may be the picture was shaprpened a lil 2 much. But good composition on the whole.

Yep! you are right. its a dreamland. looks rugged, gorgeous and colorful. I like the white and blue contrast at the top of the picture.
