Photographer’s Note

After a day of hectic skiing I took out the aging camera and lay on my back and shot the parasailers as they went overhead....

Skiing is over for the year now....you can see the patches of brown are winning the war against the white....

Good composition with nice colors and light.
I would say that this is not really sharp but it gives a good overview of these mountains.

oh i know this place
infact last year in january my dad and i drove overnight from delhi
went to anjani mahadev, the snowshivling , chilled out with a baba who was meditating in the cave. we stayed there for about 30 minutes or so and then drove back to delhi since i had an exam the next day.
nicely taken..
here is my post from solang valley. i reposted the photograph later as i thought that my monitor was not caliberated, when infact it was.. so the reposted one is not the true one.

Vijay, real good take. the bright sky and good composition with the paratrooper on the side makes it perfect.
i like this framing, asymmetric border makes it feel like a wide flat screen TV! :) :)

Lovely shot Vijay;

Nice upward facing composition which I like. I like that the parasailer breaks up the blue sky a bit otherwise it gets a bit boring. The details are nice and sharp, and an interesting note to accompany.

The brown patches remind me of the skiing back home at Whistler, Canada this past Dec. Not the best snow conditions- and could only ski the top 1/2 of the mountain!

Fresh and clear image composed by the simple color.
The pink wing in the blue sky is especially beautiful.
