We started from railway Station, Shimla, reached the Vidhan Sabha.
Moving towards Cecil Oberia we met some friends who insisted to change the route.
A few days earlier a vegetable vendor was found fainted as he met with a "Ghost".
We then decided to follow the same route......the haunted route.
Reaching the foothil of the museum at Chaura Maidan we turned to the right...a new road, we had never been to.
After a few steps we were in the pitch dark as the road was passing through the Jungle.
We could hear our own footsteps, our own breathing.
The hands were looking for the hands and fear got the better of us.
Negi screamed, not out of danger but out of frustation as he was not able to walk properly.
On one side was the hill and on the other side valley, from where we could hear the noise of insects now and then.
A far distant light gave all of us a hope.
We almost ran towards it.
We reached a beautiful cottage, well lit with a nice garden and beautiful plantation.
I clicked a single shot, and then a mysterious voice echoed......"Who is there"
We ran away , but the pitch darkness on the raod made us halt.
Prespiring, we kept moving and the next 5 minutes seemed like 5 hours.
Only when we reached the Main Road connecting "The Indian Institute of Advanced Studies", we could breath properly.
With trembling legs and faded faces, we stared at each other.
We waited for the bus.......as ahead of us again was the Jungle.
Whose house is this and from where came the echo, we don't know.

I have read with pleasure your note, imagining the scene and the place. Despite the fear you have been good to capture this photo, very anxious. The lights and also the forms of the house are strange, however I like the photo.
Ciao, happy week

It seems like an oasis emerging out of the darkness. Your high POV works very well as the diagonals lead the eye from the garden to the house. It's a pity you didn't have your tripod as it is a little soft. Interesting story.

Beautiful nightshot, great light managment! Indeed it has a "ghostly" feeling! Great POV, framing and composition! Congratulations!

I enjoyed your story very much. Your photo shows how the darkness wraps itself around the little house - and what might that darkness hide? .....

Nice little story you have going there. Must have been a hair raising experience.
The shot is excellent for such low light, composition is very good.
Thanks for sharing
