One can keep on looking at the Himalayas, so beautiful it is! I do not suppose the people in the cars waiting for the effect of a landslide to be cleared would be complaining.
Rohtang Pass is the pass to the higher point of the Himalayas. In spite of the great deal of resources being spent to keep the road motorable, they buckle due to the fragile terrain. Landslides are not uncommon, and one of them has led to this pile up of the cars.

very nice the view as the presentation of the mountain scape view with the lot of cars with their owners to see this beautiful scenery.I like the fascinating view as the beauty of the place.

Good presentation of the mountains. Colours and sharpness is very good. I am also planning to go to Manali and Rohtang this August.
Thanks for sharing.

Dobar tekst, lep pogled ...
Good lyrics, nice view ...
Good shot, sharpness, contrast and perspective, well shown canyons and mountains with snow, beautiful colors.
Good composition, well captured moment with clouds and columns of cars on the road.
Have a nice day, all the best in the new week that started, good luck.

I would not get bored waiting at such a scenic location. These are part and parcel of travelling in the Himalayas. Good shot from your high POV of the stranded cars, the diagonals formed by the mountains and the snow capped mountains in the BG. Its a pity that weather and light was not all that great but you have managed reasonably well. Thanks for sharing.

I could never have imagined a traffic jam in the Himalayas in my wildest dreams! This is amazing! You have recorded the pile-up of cars, like a long caterpillar curving round the mountainside.
It does remind us that Nature cannot be tamed!
You have created a great sense of depth in this scene, the sharp rocky slope anchoring the f/g whilst the mountains of diminishing clarity provide the depth. It is stunningly beautiful.
Do you know how long it took to clear the rockfall?
My warm regards,

il y a bouchon sur la piste la route de montagne elle a l'air très vertigineuse quel jeu de coroisement de vallée et ces belle montagnes en fond mervielleux.

this is a nice mountain scape which I enjoyed a lot. But, in the time of uploading a picture, it loses some of its clarity/ colour depth/ sharpness automatically... So, while uploading you have to adjust it in pp. It is a vital part for uploading picture. No one can ignore it. I have done a image for you in workshop. Please see and let me know how it is. Hope you'll not mind my effort.

This is almost a picture out of my country, not the mountains but the a lot cars in one row.
Here in Belgium is this almost every day file with a lot hours wait and wait.
Wonderful panorama view with the high mountains in background
Excellent captured, nice composition.
Very well done, TFS.

I was amazed at seeing what looked like rush hour traffic in the Himalayas, but of course a landslide was a much more likely explanation. Let's hope no car was hit. It's a magnificent scenery and the tightly packed line of cars really adds something particular that makes this photo different from many others.

Superb perspective, which opens between the two sides we see a closer up, it seems a difficult route, judging by the jam of cars on the road. Magnificent peaks in the distance.
Splendid sharpness and good light.
Happy start to the week.
All the best.

This is truly spectacular. The beautiful and awesome Himalayas and the winding road filled with vehicles.Your shot shows us how fragile it can be to travel on these roads with rocks lying above and placed so precariously.I give you eleven out of ten for this great effort. TFS.

I like the row of bumper to bumper vehicles on the road follwing the curved spur of the big hill at right. A magnificent backdrop of snowclad peaks. Good sharpness and a wonderful high pov. The v shaped notch partly framing the bg enhances the composition. Tfs!
