The reason I titled this picture "Have you seen this place before" is because in all probability you have seen other pictures of Khajjiar before and probably most of them have been taken by the photographer while standing in the green bowl itself.
Till I made a trip to Khajjiar myself, my perception of it was restricted to the pictures showing the grass meadow and the forests around it from close quarters. However this climb that i took to the H.P. tourism guest house gave me a new dimension of this place.
While undoubtedly Khajjiar is naturally beautiful and serene, there is plenty of commercialization. The structures that can be seen on the left hand side of the photo are a mix of hotels, eating joints, homes and even a temple.
The plastic on the meadow are actually huge balls made of some synthetic material and are used for the sport of Zorbing( hope I've got the spelling right). Essentially these are balls into which people are strapped and sent rolling on the slopes.
However to me what was most interesting is the pole like structure in the forefront of the pic. Khajjiar was described as being a Switzerland of the east and the signage on the pole directs you to Switzerland!!
For those who enjoy nature trails, I recommend taking any of the paths that are found in the thick forest cover... you could be surprised at what you find.

I agree to the point you mentioned elsewhere that the photos should be natural. However, due to some factors, the image does not always turn up they way we want it or the way in which it needs to be seen. For example, there are inherent aberrations in camera lenses that bend straight lines, or introduce chromatic aberration. These are undesireable and make the quality of image poor, and I see no harm in correcting them to make the image as it should be. This is my point of view, and you may choose to disagree :)
When I see your pics, I see that u have a good eye and the will to take some effort to get a good image, keep it up!
