The summit of an unnamed and unclimbed peak in the Kinnaur Kailash range said to be over 6500 metres in height. The summit has a very strange shape, it a seems a large bite has been taken from the side of this mountain by some large giant. Technically it should be a difficult climb to the top.
The fresh snow at the top is melting as the first rays of the sun light up the summit.
Thanks for having a look.

The title of this photo made me think of the deep blue sea, and from the thumbnail that looked possible. Although being the contrary this is still to me a view of unknown, mystical territory, a bit frightening but deeply fascinating. I admire the shapes and colours and feel great respect for this kind of unhospitable environment. It is also a well taken photo which captures the natural beauty and danger very well.

An image full of mystery and a sense of the unworldly. I like the point of view and the cool blue tones which create an atmosphere all of their own. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! Just a 'wow' come in mind after seeing your shot. Must be a great experience to enjoy it with naked eyes... Sharpness/ light/ depth all are excellent in this well composed shot. A nice one indeed. Daaarun...

the mountain is quite formidable but nevertheless very beautiful and majestic. You captured these qualities very well in this tight framed photo. The limited colors suit the image very well and I also enjoy very good sharpness.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day

Hello Subho - This is a fine detail shot and I love the feeling of nature's power that you convey here.
We can see very clearly the action of the wind on the snow as it throws fine snow-dust into the air and creates ripples across the snowy surface.
Beautiful and a sight to marvel at!

PaulVDV (23409) 2014-03-31 11:04
Not an overview of an entire mountain range but nicely zoomed in on one of the highest peaks.
Excellent in blue and white.
I can imagine that you might have been standing on the edge of an abyss to take this wonderful picture.
Best regards, Paul

The word abyss summons up instantly a feeling of fear, a place where man should not be and if he goes, he will not return. This image compliments that feeling very well, as this looks a desolate and lonely place. Albeit so, it is still a beautiful place too. You caught this under magical light, and the snow blowing in the centre of the abyss is a really nice detail.
thanks as always

In another case, I would say that the image is too blue, but in this - great!
RhodieIke (11742) 2014-04-01 11:28
Amazing capture of this unusual shaped mountain top all covered in snow. I like the small colour range, and the light and dark tones.

Awesome POV, which gives us the great beauty of this chilling summit, with the abyss that we see on the hillside in the foreground, the beautiful snow effect that seems to slip from the top to the bottom.
Very good brightness and sharpness, with beautiful colors.
Well seen and done better. I Like
Have a good day.

Subho, when I saw the title, I assumed this was an underwater photo, especially with the blue tones. So it is quite surprising, and beautiful. Wonderful clarity, and very moody and mysterious. Thanks.

C'est fantastique, une scène de la nature incroyable et belle, excellente couleur allant du blanc au bleu, superbe
willperrett (7630) 2014-04-02 4:18
Wonderful photograph of this wild place, beautifully composed and framed. Yet for me it could be better yet: the shadows seem a little blocked up (snow often under-exposes, as the camera's meter is programmed on the assumption that scenes contain 18% grey; most do, but snow scenes don't) and the pervasive blues contain too much magenta for my taste. Hope you don't mind a WS to offer an alternative interpretation.
shreya2000 (1346) 2014-04-02 21:49
Very good photo showing the summit. It seems that you have captured this from a distance and later cropped it. M I right?
Thanks for sharing.
patpatch (1601) 2014-04-03 10:04
A very nice shot, very simple in appearance but with a great management of the light and a very good composition.
I like your crop very much.
And also the delicate harmont of all the blue we can see here.

Excellent cold detail photo. The snow covered mountains are in superb light. The tight crop is perfect choice. It remind me to my younger years when I spent lot of time in winter Swiss Alps.
Thank for posting it.
Very well done.

Namaskar dear Subho
I like the tight framing here, which accentuates the textures and gives us a sense of the abstract. The play of light and shade is very suggestive. A delightful photo, well done.
