Of all the 4 days that I stayed in Kalpa, I never managed a sunset photo on these beautiful mountain peaks. Leave alone taking a photo, I never saw the sun set because of this :-( Everyday the mornings were bright and glorious, and I would start thinking today is my lucky day. But as soon as the clock struck 2 in the afternoon clouds would start gathering and by 4 in the evening all hell would break loose. Blizzards in the upper reaches and hailstorms in the lower reaches would continue till around 6 in the evening. Himalayas has always been kind to me in terms of photo and views, not this time though.
This was an automatic conversion to monochrome, no extra effort required.

Rain and rain this is also the same in Belgium, no winter but everyday rain and storm.
The mountains in foreground care for a pleasant picture, the sky for contrast.
Excellent composition, nice presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Enjoy the day ahead,

words that we have been repeating over and over for a month in the UK. Like the drama that the clouds bring to this B&W study though. Works perfectly.

Like how you have cropped this to tantalise us with a glimpse of this super mountain with it's summit stuck in the clouds.
The B@W adds to the mood,

With your photo you have created a mood of a thread, dramatic sky and beautiful mountains hidden in the clouds, an tamospheric photo

Nice capture of this quite dramatical scenery in the mountains.
Good choice of b&w.
TFS and best regards

That is alright, the clouds and precipitation add mystery to the photo. These rugged mountain peaks disappearing into the clouds is very impressive.

It is different from my latest photo but you have posted superb monochrome mountains landscape photo in nice slightly diffuse light, nice horizontal arrangement, very good viewpoint. I like it.
Very well done.

wow! What a view. You might lost the chance of any sunset photograph in this region but it gave you capture such a dramatic view of nature. It is not a percent lesser in terms of beauty. Love your automatic monochromed frame which you presented here with excellent light and clarity. Superb shot dear Subho. Khub bhalo chhobi. Tfs.

it seems to be the same every where at the moment, too much rain!
The conversion to mono is very suitable for this panoramic shot as it helps to add extra drama to a spectacular mountain scene.
Best regards Les.

nice the panorama of the snowy mountain range view with the heavy grey clouds to make the image even more effective. The beauty of the place is unique.

This is splendid. How does one reach there?
Yes, I understand. Rains are a dampener when you want to enjoy the Himalayas.

Lovely cropped mountain top, it's atmospheric & makes you want to do your coat up just looking at it. I guess you must be blown away by the scenery, there has been a white-out and the threatening dark skies look still churning and very unsettled versus the shadows of the mountains. You managed the lighting really well with sufficient detail and sharp with good tonal contrast under this circumstances. Nicely done shot, Tfs

Namaskar dear Subho
Great choice the B&W, accentuating the textures of these wonderful mountains. The clouds and the mountain face have been defined superbly. Nice idea, the panoramic shot too.
Warmest wishes, have a good weekend

a view of these snowy peaks from an elevated vantage point is an awesome sight indeed. There's great sense of depth and the conversion to monochrome worked effectively. There's a fascinating sense of timelessness too. In the monochrome you retained the lighting variations and the suggestiveness of the shadows. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

This is a fantastic shot of the mountains. The white snow on the barren black of the mountains makes the whole frame look quite majestic.
