Kinnaur Kailash is a mountain in the Kinnaur district of the Indian state Himachal Pradesh. Its height is 6349 metres. According Hindu Mythology it is the winter abode of Lord Shiva. There is a naturally formed Shiva Linga on a col in these mountain ranges. During the month of July-August locals conduct a pilgrimage trek to the Shiva Linga known as 'Kinnaur Kailash Parikrama'. The Himachali tourism town of Kalpa is situated parallel to this mighty range. The above picture is a shot of the sun rising behind the Kinnaur Kailash range taken from Kapla on one chilly April morning.

This is a beautiful image, and I am amazed that you have not received any comments on this before. the lighting here is just superb, heavenly in its appearance as it breaks over the horizon, and what a wonderful horizon too. not just any horizon either, but the wonderful lines of this majestic mountain. The way the light across the whole image raises from black dark to heavenly light is really a sight to behold.
Wonderful image, I can imagine you were awed when you seen this in person.
