The second shot after "Downswing" posted yeasterday...
Here the hammer contacts the chisel and the entire arm of the ironsmith is out of focus with the shock of impact!
I was particularly delighted with the metal particles making a red hot web under the horseshoe as they shot outwards with the force of the blow!
With shutter lag that has to be a "chance bonus" and certainly hoped for - but not planned ..!!

Excellent, but I preferred yesterdays posting, the angle of it I think.
This one captures the anvil and the process very well though. The moving hammer is great.

Very good shot... interesting subject. The composition works very well w ith the point of impact nicely placed in the pic.. Even with not much light the face of the man is nicely exposed.

good shot Vijay! i know it is particularly difficult to get sharp focus in those light conditions...you did pretty well IMO!
