Photographer's Note

Chitkul, on the banks of Baspa River, is the first village of the Baspa Valley and the last village on the old Hindustan-Tibet trade route. It's altitude is 3450m.
The valley is extremely beautiful, on the left bank of the Baspa River are snow-clad mountains and on the right bank the whole terrain is full of apple orchards, saffron cultivation. It has a population of around 600 people.
It is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my country. Due to huge snowfall in the winter of 2013 I was lucky to get lots of snow in April 2013.
Thanks for looking.
