Photographer’s Note
Stop me if you've seen this one before. Same lake, similar viewpoint, but taken three years apart (give or take a week or four).

beautiful image, the colors and DOF are superb, I would be tempted to crop a little more off the bottom though, to make the waters edge the main foreground attention.. well done

Hi Rich,
Apparently you've improved your technique and composition.
I like this photo much better than the link.
I think your improvement shows here immensly.
I think this is one of the major points of trek earth.com
I compliment you on a job very well done!
I have to agree you could also crop the bottom of the photo a tiny bit closer to the lake.
That is more of a preference of personal taste than a technical aspect.
peace,
haans :)

Usually I don't appreciate the usage of polarization but here you may got rid of the reflections in the lake but overall picture is very crisp and clear and that's what i appreciate.
I belive contours may change a bit over time but color of the terrain will never change. In you sincere opinion which picture is close to what it really is?
PS:
I am listening to "Jesse Cooke - Tempest" and i am lovin watching this again and again.

hi Rich
a beautiful composition... I love the green of the water... also this one is much better than the previous one... but I feel you should have captured the full lake in your frame...

Hi Rich:
Please tell me the reason why you selected the month of July to come here twice?
Did you make it here via a tours, or exploring yourself?
Thanks.

A splendid view. But, I think the sky and the parts of the embankment have gone a bit overexposed.
Personally, I like the crispness of the older photo, but the vastness of the lake in this one.
