Photographer’s Note
Jantar Mantar is one of my favourite places to go in Delhi. I love the configurations of the structures, which all had an astronomical purpose when they were constucted. The site is now in the centre of New Delhi, and as you can see by the pall of pollution it would be difficult to use these structures for any kind of astronomical observation today. Still, there is a weird sense of wonder when one is among them and there are many opportunities for photography here. In this shot I like the contrast between the red of the walls and the green grass with the hazy city backdrop.

Hi Joan,
Very different and interesting architecture. You have also managed to capture the warm light here in a very convincing way!
Kind regards

Hi Joan!
This one is great....good eye! It truly is unique. In addition to the amazing architecture itself, the rust color and green are a very pleasing combination of colors. Altogether a very striking photo. Nice work! Cheers,
Steve
