This time, I thought I'd share a piece of handicraft which is re-gaining popularity in this part of the word. the art of weaving wicker baskets is well documented. A lot of creativity in wicker is also directed towards objects other than mere baskets. A wicker lamp is a good example of this. The one in the picture is locally made and is available in the crafts-bazaars such as Dilli Haat or in several handicrafts stores. They'll cost a few Dollars (US) and are very easy to install - add the CFL, plug it in and switch it on. Make sure you pick one up on your next trip to Delhi.
