Jama Masjid, Old Delhi.
i love being at mosques... even if I am not religious. there is a certain atmosphere there, different from a hindu temple or a christian church. and there are always pigeons!!
i posted this picture for the TE member sohrab who shares my liking for visiting mosques :) my hope is that this picture may be in tune with his picture "life in a mosque" http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/India/photo54599.htm and yes, i stole the title from him!
i won't tell more, the picture is worth thousand words, i hope mine is worth at least twenty :)) the little boy who was the cause of pigeons in the air is outside the frame.
post-pro notes: converted to B&W, toned in a colour that i think closely resembles red stone which is widely used in forts of N India

the best compliment that i can give you for this photograph is this link
please scroll down to the 18th photograph ( i think) in this gallery and you'll understand what i mean.
if you're going to pakistan and if you have a lot of time, you might want to goto "wagah border" it's on the indo pak border. they have this daily ritual there at the end of the day which is world famous. it's a show of might by both the indian and pakistani soliders. you'll never see anything like it anywhere else in the world. i havent been there myself, but i'll go there one day. ive seen it lots of times on national geographic etc though.

Pidgeons and a square - it's a never-ending theme. A picture like this could have been taken anywhere on Earth, yet every such shot has some charm for me.
Nice B&W work, Olga.

I like the coloring you chose for the mosque. The birds at different distances are a nice touch too. The photo looks a little tilted to me, to the right. Did you also get a photo with the boy in it? You would have a whole different tone!

Good composition, Olga. You captured the birds in flight perfectly. The architecture of the mosque is stunning. Well seen.

Hey olga...the picture has a very indo-pak feel to it. Full marks for the very earthly tone. Great shot.
I'd tried something similar, but since i'd didn't have as lovely mosque as yours I'd shot the pigeons in silhoutte.
