Hi Henk,

I love all your photographs, and how can i not do so for this one..

Amazing capture of daily life for a going to be a Monk..

Whishing him and you a good wishes ...

I will not comment on the quality of photograph ... as i have just started to learn I do not know when I will be up the levels you are ... long way to travel...wish me good luck i do the hard work..

Hahahaha, why did you refuse it? ))) Wouldn't it be fun? After all, you probably won't get such generous offers every day of your life. ))) Anyway, this one is striking enough without any naked models. Like your all other photos, it is superbly-handled and its colours are stunning. Congrats.

I have seen all of your photographs. Really you are a MASTER of PORTRAITS. Your sense of perception,aesthetic eye and technical perfection are amazing. I always feel, I COULD HAVE TAKEN THIS OR THAT, when I see your photos. I am from Kerala and am glad you like the colourful life and culture there and admire it. It is kind that you share these great works to the TE members,great. I have read your profile and travelogue as well, interesting findings and attitudes. Henk,
Het lijkt wel een tekening, zo gedetaileerd en het lijkt wel alsof het zilerwerk in de voorgrond zweeft, wat een scherpte. Je hele serie van deze mensen is erg goed weergegeven en absoluut met waardigheid neergezet. Bijzondere foto en manier van leven waar wij in het westen maar weinig van zullen begrijpen en/of mee zullen krijgen.
Heel goed fotowerk, zoals we dan van je gewend zijn.

DAg Henk,

Dag Henk,

Ik vind beide foto's van hoog kwaliteit, maar de hoofd foto is een buiten beentje.
Wie dit wil evenaren zal van goede huize moeten komen en heel wat in zijn mars hebben.
Ook het verhaal zoals u mij meedeelde heeft een waarde.
Schitterend foto werk, mooi gedan.

Goede 1 Mei, maar de hagelbuien zijn intens hier bij ons,

Funny to hear that they insist on a picture of a naked monk. Very nice shot with a good note on the position of the postulant in the monk-being structure. Thanks for sharing that one!

Wonderful clarity, Henk, amazing composition, and sense of movement.If you had posed it , it could not be more perfect.You have three perfect poses; the monk caught in motion hand to his mouth, the postulant turning and reaching for the food and that wonderful,tranquil woman, her face showing such caring and attention. Again too, it is a wonderful document of a culture and a way of life. regards kevin
