i go on with night shots for a while in Moti bagh area/New Delhi.
a street scene; a byker is passing by, a grocer and a lady eggseller. ready for cooking..
i love the chaos and the contrasts in this area..

Hi Evren. I like your two main subjects here. The woman on the right is an excellent subject I think as is the bidi seller on the left. However, for me, I am kind of bothered by how they don't quite seem to be linked together. My eyes keep looking at this almost as though this was two photos put together as one. I think this feeling is emphasized for me in the two very different color temperatures we are seeing; one from the fluorescent light on the left vs. whatever is lighting the woman on the right. I realize that in some ways, I am the one who is in the wrong here; your intent of this shot is clearly to highlight the differences between the two and you have done that well. Just for me though, it is a confusing photo to enjoy. These negatives are really more in my limits of how I look at a photo, but I really can't quite get past them.

I agree with Darren, actually this is a good streetlife. If you separate the two into 2 different picture it will be great, because they could be a nice POI.

You've got to LOVE that 5D, Evren, what's all that about so-so colors and preferring Nikon? LOOK at what you were able to produce with Canon? I understand what Darren and Peter are saying but to me (and it is clearly stated in your note) this is about CHAOS, man, it is about a glorious confusion yu found under mixed lighting in the strets of the city at night. I think it's a splendid shot, no disrespect to my learned friends...

Hi Evren. I understand what the other critiquers are saying about the seeming incoherence of the overall scene, but I still appreciate this one as (a) an authentic-looking account of Indian life that gives a great be-there feel, and (b) the impeccable technical handling of the technics, particularly the exposure work. Good timing as well, even though the foreground guy is walking away. - Greetings from Tokyo.
I appreciate your firm Nikonian statement to Francis, LOL ;)

Hello Evren, I have to side with Francis too, for the core of this shot is the chaos, the very stew of different colours, vendors, people passing and selling... you did very well to include them all, as well as your hallmark depth of field allowing us to take a peak into the back. Indeed truly fascinating and very well captured!

Evren excellent contrasts of light the cold and the warm. I can see both points of view and think it would have worked better without the figure in the foreground then you would focus more on the contrasts of the shot. A fantastic street life shot.

Hello Evren. Great scene, you managed the comotion quite well, I think, with the 3 different things going on, the different lightings. Impressive how you keep the individual moments together, not missing out on any of them. There are a lot of good photographers on here, but your work, to me, is exceptional... a level above. Your level of work is the kind that i strive to achieve. Thanks for the consistant inspiration.

Excellent street scene!!! I like how the two stalls merge into one and fit so well in one picture.
Thanks for sharing

1/15th... Nice steady hand, Evren! And what a killer combination you had, 5D and 24-105L.
Really nice, it's India as we have learnt to know and encounter it, always in movement and always working, all hours. So much deyail and so much mood! Well done.

Hello Evren. It falls heavily to criticize your photos kontruktiv since only positive things are to be seen. I can thus only say, which pleases me this photo very very well. It is full information about people and their occupation. Also one could separate this photo of you into two parts: on the right of the woman with the eggs, on the left of the three men. The photo is also unusually well composed. One of the best your photos. Many greetings, Wolfgang.
