Photographer's Note

As I recall, there are two honour-guards from the three services in rotation on duty at all times. This soldier represents the army, paying respect to all who have died and whose names are not known. I feel a quotation from out of my memory is apt. "They also serve who only stand and wait". I am sure they quickly become accustomed to having their photos taken, wearing very smart outfits. This photo is taken from the northeast of the Gate.
