Photographer's Note

Entrance to the fort is gained through the Lahori Darwaza on the west off Netaji Subhash Marg. One walks around to the north side where there is a portal in the barbican, the latter one of the two such fortifications added by Emperor Aurangzeb. The other gate on the south side of the fort is the Delhi Darwaza.

Once inside there is a covered bazaar, Chatta Chowk, where jewels and brocade were sold. Beyond this lies the Naqqar Khana, a pavilion where ceremonial music was played thrice daily.
