The final frontier, Wagah about 28 kms. from Amritsar is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. It’s an interesting experience especially at sunset when the 'Retreat' ceremony takes place with the BSF on the Indian Side of the Border. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags ceremony is carried out with great pomp.
It's quite a task to manage that entire crowd which would assemble every evening to witness this amazing change of guard and lowering of flags of both the nations. You should at least for once witness this event to feel the tension, enthusiasm and patriotism, all rolled into a single show.
Seen here is member of the Indian Army in action (managing a crazy crowd)!! |

Good details and color. The DOF looks just right with the subject in focus while you can still see people in the background looking over the border presumably. Its a pity the very top of the turban got cropped out but I still like this picture.
