Photographer’s Note

Arabian-style fashion of 'Heena' body-painting which was in fashion this year in India, prompted my wife to go for it. I took this picture after the 'Heena' was applied on my wife's hands. After it dries, it can be removed using water.

It is a general practice by Indians to apply Heena on their hands, feets etc. on special occasions or family festivals such as weddings, religious gatherings and so on. Every culture has wonderful things in its own, so here I tried to show one aspect of the ancient Indian culture.
