~ Five Years In TE | The Gaze ~
Hat-trick of jubilies :) ...
Today I am in my 6th year of TE innings... In between I scored nine centuries (900+ post)... Some of them is good in your opinion...
Wish to celebrate this day with you sharing this lady with a different type of gaze, whom I met in a Sadhu's fair in my town. She has some supernatural power (she think and not me), despite it, she is shy as other normal Indian women...
~ Enjoy It & Thanks ~

You certainly excel in these types of portrait and this is a fine way of celebrating five years on TE. Many congratulations! The composition is excellent and the colours and clarity superb. This lady is a force to be reckoned with I would say.

Bonjour, cher Subhendu,
Cette série sur les portraits est de toute beauté.
Image prise sur le vif. Le personnage est vrai !
Très bonne série.

well, first of all, congrats on the anniversary!
Its always interesting to view your gallery, your shots from India always make me want to travel there :)
Although the man on the left may be a little distracting for some people, I like the contrast of the two faces and expressions.
that lady is priceless :)
fun shot, well done

An excellent portrait with an informative brief explanation of this woman at the important event A very well captured and positioned in order to focus in on the facial features and the eyes -the vital element in portraiture - with excellent shallow dof. The colours are so attractive and exposed to the best, sincerely i feel the blurry fig is too close for comfort to my liking. and somehow distracts from centre of attention. A fine overall shot nonetheless, Congrats

Encore une fois, un très bon choix de profondeur de champs dans cette composition. Tu sais comment aller chercher l'élément le plus intéressant dans la foule.

the lady's confidence in her supernatural power is evident in her gaze. Your picture was taken with great timing and all the intrigue, power and bewilderment of her gaze have been captured impressively. The textures and characteristics of her face are strikingly natural, light and colours are well rendered and attractive. The blurry face on the right adds movement and some relief from the tension in the lady's gaze. Congratulations and thank you! I'll repeat my congratulations for the whole of your work on TE, always interesting and enjoyable. I wish you many years more!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,

Happy anniversary, Subhendu!
Well done for all your photos and especially this one! Very good focus and depth, great colors and well caught expression on old woman's face.
Nicely composed with another face out of focus.
Thanks for sharing

Interesting portrait of this lady. Her look is very intriguing, I cannot really explain what is the meaning of her gaze. Like the red vermilion streak on her forehead which matches her attire and contrasts her skin tone very well. I did not find the OOF face in the FG distracting, rather it adds to the composition a lot. Very nice photo, thanks for sharing.
Congrats for continuing to post over here for 5 years!

He he, every day a new jubilee. Whatever will happen with your next photo? :-)
This is another excellent portrait. I love that suspicious look but I amnot quite sure what she was thinking. The light falls perfectly on her face and the sharpness is equally perfect. I like the inclusion of the blurred, half head to the left. I think many photographers would have cropped that part, but it balances the composition very well without stealing any attention from the old woman.

Splendid portrait photo of this intriguing lady, her eyes say it all for me, sternness, curious, and thoughtfulness.
Great management, super colours, a great one to celebrate you 5th anniversary on TE,
Well done here's to the next five.

mirosu (16273) 2014-03-01 3:02
Another excellent portrait in superb light and outstanding face details. I'm not sure if the lady is happy to see your camera or not. Anyhow as I said excellent photo, nice contribution to your anniversary. Congratulations,
Very well done
Wish you a very nice weekend.

congratulations on your anniversary! You have chosen a lovely image to celebrate with.
the shallow DOF works well to capture just enough of the guy in the foreground but without disturbing the LOOK
jcpix (13930) 2014-03-01 15:11
Quite a run of benchmarks which you've achieved recently...and with much respect, I once again say "congratulations!" A credit and valuable contributor to TE, so here's to wishing many more years of your impressive work! :)
This is an engaging stare you've captured, one which could be interpreted in many ways. I like the contrast of expressions from the blurred person on the left side of the frame, a contradiction in emotion it would seem. Wonderfully sharp and detailed, another human interest photo with much conviction. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. take good care.
