Namaskar dear Farhat
It seems both you and did all are in a spicy mood, although her photo is in France. Brilliant colours and contrasts here, the low POV is excellent as is your definition. Excellent work.
Have a beautiful day

Taken from a very good side on POV, this is a great original shot from road side markets of our country. He has a palette of colors in front of him. Nice natural colors and good clarity. Enjoyed seeing this photo, thanks for sharing.
chrislo (4097) 2013-12-23 1:30
A very interesting view of this spice vendor, showing a wide range of spices in a tidy and colourful display. Good angle to take the photo with the diagonally placed sacks of spices. I like the naturalness of these men, and their expression. Nice and natural colours, too. It's a good daily life shot, well done.
kato (11630) 2013-12-23 1:36
You're capturing well this market by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the sellers who are selling many kind of colorful spices or delicious fritters at roadside. It's also impressive that there are spices with different color and shape in the small bags. Probably, the spice which uses it with cooking means the difference. It looks like the work which must wait for a visitor and which needs patience.
CLODO (34696) 2013-12-23 2:00
You've researched the right POV to have the first aliments almost parallel to the picture frame, and the perspective lead the eye to the backgrond to meet the second seller.
it would have been better to have the walking man going in the picture and not leaving because your eye quit suddenly the shot. (see my WS)

Your POV and the momentum are perfect. The scene is depicted in a nice overview, with the man in the background walking out of the photo.
snunney (100656) 2013-12-23 2:52
On of the great joys of Indian markets, the spice seller lot of beautiful smells and a variety of colours. I like this shot a lot looking across the bags of spices directly toward the man who is looking straight at the camera. The image is well lit and has excellent colours and is pin sharp throughout.
bona (13737) 2013-12-23 4:04

Hi Farhat, very good photo of this interesting scene of daily life, very well captured in this very good and interesting picture with good sharpness, depth, light and color. Very good and nice job perfectly done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this interesting work.
Good night and happy week.
Warm greetings from southern Spain.
ourania (47048) 2013-12-23 6:36
I like very much how you filled the frame with your composition in a great perspective. There's interest everywhere you look and your composition works so well also thanks to excellent depth and sharpness. Apart from the interesting display of spices and fritters, the people catch our attention too and daily life details complete the frame effectively. The brighter and stronger tones stand out well in the mostly neutrally toned ambiance. There's a strong diagonal of interest from the lower right corner to the upper left. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a wonderful week,

What a colourful display of sharp flavors offered in an exotic appearance!
Blessed be those men who worked hard to collect all those mouth-watering delicacies!
I wish you a joyful holidays season and many spiced meals!!

That's a lot of spices! I can almost taste the red hot peppers. Good pov and nice details. Well done, tfs.
holmertz (54235) 2013-12-23 11:04
This looks like a very simple and modest marketplace in one of the poorest corners of India. But this is definitely not a poor photo. I like the neatly lined up sacks of spices and the fritter salesman looking curiously at you, while the spice-seller doesn't seem to care. The colours are very good and pleasantly mild.
mrichat (1755) 2013-12-23 16:58
A very well defined daily life photo with indian flavour. There are so many spices infront of the seller and the man sitting beside him probably selling ginger at on camera face. the each spice has its unique colors.plenty of light and a tight crop.well frammed.
Good job Farhat.

Hello Farhat - I like your composition here where the spices run from the FG to the MG in a fascinating display. I love Indian food and can make a reasonable curry so some of the spices I recognise. A super DL scene, very authentic with the bicycles peppering the scene. Warm regards Rosemary

This is a brilliant image, the point of view you have chosen in particular deserves special mention, as you have included so much in the photo and created perfect depth, while getting every fine details of these multi colored spices. I love that the man selling the fritters has made eye contact with you while you took this while the spice man has not, it looks brilliant this way.
Excellent image, framing, subject and light, thanks as always for sharing Farhat.
best wishes from Ireland

Namaskar dear Farhat
Very well framed daily life scene from India that reminds me of the street markets in Kathmandu, Nepal. Good sharpness and a nice high key toned bg to add a good graphic element. Superb density levels and pastel colors. Have a great Xmas / New Year break!

Good evening Farhat,
Colorful collecion of many spices on display, red hot pepper is the one I recognize, maybe a Muscat is there on first row as well.
I also look at the face expression of the two men waiting for clients.
Fine taken from side angle, good clear view upon.
mcmtanyel (23953) 2013-12-25 11:07

When I see such photo I miss India and I could go there at once. I love all the markets, specially these with spices and vegetables, with all the colours and smells. very nice scene from rather simple market, or just a part of the street, with the sellers sitting among the products they sell. brilliant shot, i like it.
All the best

Hi Farhat, I thought India is famous of its Curry. I know it is good of its spices too now. Many varieties of spices that the man is selling in the market. The red ones look spicy, the rocket ones look like even more spicy and the rest seem not too tender. Good POV and composition. Great management of the lights too. Thank very much and Happy Holidays
Gigidusud (21151) 2013-12-27 14:19

annjackman (21899) 2013-12-28 9:32
I like the arrangement of this composition with the very well laid out market set against the less inviting BG. It all comes together very well to show us life in this village. This is the type of shot that I enjoy - very well done.
Kind Regards, Ann
SWEETFREEDOM (24621) 2013-12-29 1:15

Another good photo of a market! Spices are usually very eye catching. Here, they seem to be well organized and even the plastic bags add some colour!I also like the bikes and the people around. It's a good capture!
photoray (13981) 2013-12-29 11:16
Fine candid view of the street vendor with his multiple spices for sale, including a bag of red peppers one of my favorites.
And good resolution,
jcpix (13930) 2013-12-29 16:53
I'm always drawn towards pictures of markets, there's just so much color and local "flavor" to be found. Fascinating to me to be able and see so many varied products from around the world, and this is certainly a fine display. It also has a nice local touch, having composed this to include a few people and the surrounding area. Must be difficult for these gentlemen to carry around this much product and set up each day, a true test to their fortitude. A good portrayal of the every day life scene.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year ahead. My friendliest wishes,
COSTANTINO (66166) 2013-12-29 22:43

Excellent shot of the market scene. You chosen the good POV showing lot of different spices from this one merchant. The background show a very typical dusty village. Excellent quality shot with lot of details and a good daily life scene from the area.
mkamionka (37787) 2014-01-02 14:36
spices make always a very photogenic theme. They are colorful and come in so many shapes and forms. Nice documentary photo from daily life.

what an excellently composed image! I like very much the POV which shows all the colours of the spices - all in a row in a 'perspective' view :) Everything is very well balanced here: the walking man on the left - and the bicycles on the right; and even the bag with the chilli pepper at the bottom is perfectly balanced by the sitting man (or vice versa, if you like it better) :)) I consider it a very beautiful photo!
mirosu (16273) 2014-01-28 5:22
Every time when I'm traveling to India, I bring back plenty of spices. I like this excellent snapshot with the spices sellers and their goods. They do not need much to display they products, simple but effective.
Wish you a very nice rest of the week.
