Photographer’s Note

This place is called Cross hill. It's 3 Kmtrs from Pedong bazaar. The priest Augustine Desgodins laid this holy cross as a landmark cairn in 1882 on his way to Tibet thru the Nathula Pass to preach Christianity. However he had to recede as opposed by the orthodox Tibetans at that time. It is considered to have miraculous powers and a place of Pilgrimage for the local Christian Community.

Pozdrav iz zavejane Cuprije, sneg i dalje pada, hladno je.
Pravi trenutak snimka ove dobre fotografije odlicnih tonova.

beautifull composition of this shot with the cross, christ and the tibetian monk ( it seems to me ). Nice work in black and white. Nice to see the boy under the foot of christ. Like the mood. Very well done.
