Photographer's Note

Have not posted for the last couple of days because I finally lost my job, made redundant! The company where I was working is closing down the department in which I worked - maintaining 'growth' and preserving 'profits' for the larger good - they explained !!
So I went to Mandarmoni. Its a relatively secluded beach, facing the Bay of Bengal, which is about 6 Km long and about 150 meter wide when the tide is low. Its barren and not very many people go there. This evening, I was the lone person on this side of the beach. I needed the solitude to clear my thoughts.

There is a lot of Construction work happening about a couple of kilometers behind me. Hotels and Huest Houses are being built. The destruction on that part of the beach is quite apparent. I am not sure if that is sustainable development. As of now, it is a 'hot' destination because you get to drive right along and over the waves for almost 6 Km, undisturbed.
