*** Fauti Mosque ***
Some information about this mosque-
Fauti Masjid (also Phuti Masjid ) is a mosque in the city of Kumarpur, India which was built by Nawab Sarfaraz Khan in 1740 AD. It is said to have been built by Nawab Sarfaraz Khan in a single night, however it is said that the Nawab hired the masons for several months where the mater role was called one day.
The old Fauti Masjid is one of the largest mosques in the town of Kumarpur and Murshidabad. It is about 3 quarters of a mile away from the grand and famous Hazarduari Palace. This grand mosque is 135 feet long and 38 feet broad. It has five domes and four spiral staircases at its four corners surmounted by
cupolas. Hiwever, the domes
are still incomplete. The mosque at present is in ruins and has been overgrown by a jungle nearby.
The historical place is now in danger with the chance of collapsing in any moment.

Excellent photo of the mosque in ruins. Great detailing everywhere despite the challenging light. Good choice of POV and use of vertical format. Superb framing with the arches. Darun photo, thanks for sharing.

I like the point of view and the repeating motifs of the arches, which help create a long perspective. I like the lighting and rich red tones. Excellent rendering of the textural detail.

Good, Subhendu, that you captured it before it does fall.
Lovely light. The cracks are so prominent.

a different shot from you, but a fascinating one. Love your POV here and the immaculate detailing that your superb light management brings out so exquisitely. If walls could talk springs to mind here. Amazing!

interesting POV which determines the whole composition. It is very original result and makes the photo stand out from the crowd. The arches seen from the lower perspective create some kind of passage and make the image almost 3D. The light seems to be very tricky there and you did excellent work with it. Well done!
The presence of some plants adds life and color.
Very good picture indeed.

I find a pity that this nice mosque is a ruin, I love old architecture with these splendid arches.
We see clear that the nature very quick everything takes back.
Nevertheless a very good picture with a lovely old architecture.
Very well composition, light and colours are excellent taken.
Nice done, TFS.
Have a nice day,

Tu n'as pas manqué ton coup avec cette composition. L'endroit est très photogénique avec cette végétation qui gagne la bataille contre les vieux murs.La lumière est excellente et fait bien ressortir les détails.

I am sure this was a very impressive mosque once upon a time. There is still a considerable beauty of the arches and niches even in these sad conditions. You made an excellent composition by shooting from inside the nearest arch. If this would collaps any time now, at least you have saved its memory for the future.

Très belle photo, avec un cadrage intéressant, de cette étonnante mosquée en ruines.

I love this type of subject and I know how tricky it is to manage the light. You have done a good job here Subhendu with detail even in the darkest area and no washed out sky. I realize that this is a mosque but the atmosphere reminds me very much of the disused a crumbing churches in Ireland. A super shot and a sad story. Warm regards rosemary

a pity this mosque, that could be grand and imposing, now lies in ruins and is in danger of collapsing. Your composition in a vertical frame is very interesting, there are several frames within frames, the textures and the graduating tones of the derelict structure are fascinating. The signs of decay are too evident and your photo has a melancholic atmosphere and a wild beauty. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
