the place: this pic is taken at Sandakphu. Sandakphu has always been known as the trekkers' paradise and located at north west of Darjeeling town at an altitude of about 12,000ft.
the cars: Many tourists who find the 3 days trek too strenuous to bear, take a 4-wheel drive Land Rover from Manebhanjan and go all the way up to Sandakphu along the steep gravel road.Land rover is the only car that goes up there, and the drivers have a union and booking office in Maneybhanjang(road head). The motor road is full of loose stones and boulders, and it takes about 5 hours to travel a distance of 32 kilometers from Manebhanjan to Sandakphu.
i regret the bad quality as this has been scanned from an old negative.

I like the misty atmosphere of these picture.
Of course are the two land rovers the real eye catchers on this pleasant picture.
Excellent captured, splendid composed picture.
Very well done, TFS.

I really like your shots, they're all original. This one with the misty background is wonderful too. Just a bit grainy but it doesn't take anything away from the beautiful light of the picture.
Excellent compo of the frame, the second car seems to be shyly hiding behind the elder brother:))
Thanks and have a great week!

Good shot of the old jalopies.Certainly with the Land rovers many parts of Darjeeling would have remained unvisited by many tourists.Very beautiful and pleasant-looking picture!

The quality is not bad at all.
In fact the effect is of the two Land Rovers emerging into light from the mist! Am curious about the number plate...G for Gorkhaland, is it?

You still regret the "bad" quality of your photos? :))
For me it is not a bad quality at all, mist & haze usually create grains even in digital photos. If you still feel like getting rid of the grains, you can use NeatImage to clean it.
The old look of the 4x4s is superb and so charming.

Love the simplicity of this with the main interest well laid out with lovely bg engulfed by the fog. The softness with clear definition and the tonal contrast are excellent to suit the mood very well. Nicely done, Congrats.

Molto piacevoli i colori saturi.
Ciao e buona serata

A strong sense of the place is created by the captured atmosphere-fog and sunshine- and the POV. Excellent note.Namaste. Klaudio.
