No Entry at Ramitey
An uprooted tree denied our jeep entry to the highest view point, Ramitey top (6,400 ft.). Dense fog with poor visibility in the deep forest and the brain puzzling monotonous buzzing of the wild insects all around, impacted almost like a horror movie.
We had to get down our jeep and walk the last 2 kilometers to the top. My daughter, already immune to fear by watching a lot of horror serials in TV, enjoyed the adventure of negotiating the fallen tree with her water bottle in hand.

Ramitey top is 10 Km. from Pedong bazar, which is on the ancient Silk route.

Only Jeep can negotiate thru the dense forest to reach Ramitey top. Breathtaking panoramic view of the rivers (Rishi khola, Muddum khola and Tista) all around Pedong and Kancenjunga are available from the top. Longest view of flowing Tista River is available only from here.
