Pandua near Malda contains the third largest concentration of Muslim monuments in Bengal. A ten-kilometre long, old brick-paved road runs through the entire town.
Qutub Sahi Mosque or Sona Masjid (The Golden Mosque) built in 1582 is a doubled aisled mosque with ten domes and corner turrets was erected in the nonour of the Saint Nur Qutub-Ul-Alam by Makhdum Shaikh, the descendant and a follower of the Saint. It is also known as the Sona Masjid because of its earlier gilded wall surface and crowns of the turrets.
It was also used as a court of justice later. The Judge used to sit on this raised dais.

a fascinating image of this monument. I like the look of the weathered stone, the fine details and the POV- . Excellent notes.
Fine light and shadow capture.

about 10 years ago i went to malda to visit my friend thus i had vip treatment and tour of the place. unfortunately i don't have any of the pictures handy.
did you get to the border too.
i see a little bit of noise all over the picture , but again that adds to the element and character of the shot too.
