This was shot yesterday from the top of a bridge in a place called Palasipara. The district of Nadia in West Bengal can boast of being one of the largest producers of jute in the state.Jute fields spread across miles can be seen during a journey by road.Historically, West Bengal and Bangladesh were the largest producers of jute in the world. The jute industry used to be in full bloom with jute bags being hot cakes. But with the invention of plastic, the jute has suffered a huge decline in glory and jute doesnot enjoy the same acceptance as before.A lush green jute field can be seen in the picture. The 'Jalangi' river can be seen flowing beside it.This river offers the source of water for irrigation to the jute fields.
This landscape can be regarded as a representative of a typical Nadia landscape.

Composition of colours would have been in your mind when you clicked this shot. The green shows so much strength..but I think, the climate played the 'villain' here.. You have made a good composition within the opportunities and it has come out well too. Congrats....and my hugs to you, for I am seeing a jute field for the first time :)
Have a nice day.

A different shot with tremendous colours and the river looking very good here..the nature and the man made greenery compliments each other very well..great composition...
The best time to click good shots are before 0900 hrs and after 1600 hrs...take a chance and see the difference..!!

Well done! composition is very good here. The field looks lovely, if the day was clear, it would been even prettier. I think when the sky looks washed out, you can go down on the exposure 1 or 2 steps. It looks better.

nice composition, but the light is too harsh.

Never been to this place, but your diagonal compo. with the splash of rich green is very eye catching. The light is a bit harsh as evidenced from the bleached sky, but that is difficult for you as a visitor to have a choice of time I guess
