Magnificent dream of rain that keeps falling, keeps blowing the light to bits, like a storm of memory, the disintegration of souls. -Hugh

I'll make this somber mooded image a fav. I love everything from the rich greyscale to the grain (a bit of the detail in the grain may have been digitalized in the scan?) Film and Leica has yet to be beat in those two respects.
Oh... the composition is also very nice. And the exposition is spot on. Congrats on this one!

beautiful one Mr.Ray, another poetry.love the toning too. fog makes it very magical in monsoon.

excellent capture of rains in bengal. it seems that you were out there in the rain too. maybe, due to higher ISO setting the picture is little bit grainy. but overall, it's a good work in very low light condition. tfs.

Wow, you are KILLING us with these monsoon shots, Animesh - this one among the best. The "pointillisme" resulting from these big fat drops coming down is awesome. Top notch work,

My skin feels a bit wet after looking at this picture. You've made the rain or mist the subject of your picture, the man and the umbrella are just a shape for the water to collect on. Very nice and simple composition.

That is simple, moody and beautiful...
A strong emotion passes...
What more to say ?
Best regards. Grazyna.

This is pure artistic shot Animesh...you can feel the power of rain when you look at this.
Great black and white tonality for this small masterpiece...

You keep on posting photographic pearls from this last trip of yours as if the monsoon had washed away all your previous photographs. Have mercy on us. An overdose of beauty is unbearable.

a pure jewel for me.. the tones and the effect of the rain are really beautiful.
I really love the mood achieved and it is quite hard to fin words to express what I feel when I look at this photo...

Another vivid slice of life in the rain, rain that permeates everything, even your film, one could imagine! Nothing in the world of this photo is quite real, except the rain. The man is rather ghost-like, the trees are blurred and smeared, and the distance isn't even visible. But the rain is there, no doubt about that. This one is a true work of art! Regards, Ken.

i simply stay speechless before this whole series... that mist is the key success element in the whole thing...

Man that's awesome...the softness I can feel, like muggy days wet and heavy. The blurriness seems like what I remember to be squinting eyes in the rain...not wanting to look, head down and moving forward. Great looking grains, and that glow...

Another of those dreamy shots, you've done very nice ones during your last visit in India, this one is included...

Animesh, my God, I have been away for hardly four weeks and this abundance of magical shots is taking my breath away. Could write to each if I had the time but now just sampled this gem to line up with those mesmerized by the atmospheric WONDER present in this monsoon shot, the gorgeous grain, the fine tones...
Thanks Animesh. Please exhibit these!
