My 99th post is an element of a series Arohi Summer Trek 2005.
.. .. we stayed at Mongpoo for a day and as a obvious visit, visited Rabindra Dham [a bungalow where Rabindranath Tagore stayed]. It was a government quarter, made for the Manager of Cinchona factory at Mongpoo. Mongpoo [abt 85Kms from Siliguri, 3275ft above sea level] is a very small village on the lap of the Himalayas. Name of Mongpoo goes very much with Cinchona plant, extract from which worked magically to prevent Malaria in the form of a drug Quinine. This is the bungalow where Rabindranath stayed in Mongpoo. Sitting on the balcony/lawn of the bungalow you can see the greenery of Himalaya [Kalimpong can be seen on the right and ]
Rabindranath Tagore (Robindronath Ţhakur)

death : August 7, 1941 (22 Srabon, 1348)
He was a Bengali poet, philosopher and nationalist who was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1913, becoming the first Asian to win a Nobel Prize.
Tagore was born in Jorasanko, Kolkata. He was the son of Debendranath Tagore and Sarada devi. (..more..)

nice one.. l liked the POV here.. but for me i think somebody walking through the way could have been better.. may be even backside of the person...
