This was shot from Loleygaon – a hill station in North Bengal at 5.30 in the morning.
If the skies are clear the Kanchendzonga range is fully visible throughout the day & its lovely to look at.
Loleygaon is about four hours drive from Siliguri. The best place to stay are the forest department cottages.

117 views, no critiques?! This is a nice shot with the glorious light on Mt.K & the layers of the hills in the FG. Indeed not an easy exposure here, but maybe a little more sharpness?! I've done a simple WS in Picassa, where apart from increasing the sharpness, I've reduced the colour temperature & enhanced the shadows. Pls do let me know if it works well with you.

Splendid shot and you have captured the "layers" and the warm lighting on the tip of the peak magnificently. Great perspective and view. Though the image is a bit noisy, it can be rectified in PP work. Excellent POV and very nicely composed. Kudos.

I like this shot simply for the magical light. Did you use a high ISO value here, it seems to me that there is a little noise, the sharpness is actually very good from what I am seeing.

A breathtaking view and a well chosen moment, the mountains glow with fire.... It has a bit of noise in the sky, but still looks fine
