Here is a graphic shot of the famous Dakshineswar Temple in Kolkata.Picture taken on the day of the South Asia Tsunami. Although this is relatively new temple it is extremely popular, and visited by thousands of faithful daily. On the day of my visit it was so crowded that I had a hard time to approach this place from where I could take a symmetrical picture of the dome framed by another building.

this is a perfection of composition, here - it is so precise, so carefully held;
tremendous bit of architecture, not so common to see in your photography, but worth waiting;
have a nice weekend, jerzy

I've been to this temple myself, and yes it's popular. Love this shot. The symmetry is perfect and the architecture is superb. Nice example of framing and the light is nice and soft. Well done!

Çok güzel bir kompozisyon. Işık ve görüntü çok net. Hele fotoğrafı kemeraltı bir çerçeveye sığdırmanız mükemmel. Elinize sağlık. Ahmet

Yapının mimarı kadar titiz bir ustalıkla oluşturulmuş simetri. Gerçekten enfes bir görüntü. Renk uyumu ve keskinlikte ayrıca güzel. Selam ve saygılar.

Hello, Izzet. A very well balanced picture which underlines the symmetry in the building. The image is also very crisp.

Clever graphics, izzet
Very well seen and presented, the towers of the temples well composed and very symmetrically fitted in the natural bow

You have done excellent job for TE architectural section. This temple's design seems to be mixture of Mosque & Hindu Temple architecture as seen in many old temples in India. At that time Muslim's / Mangolian's Shilpkar (Architects) influenced with Indian architecture during Muslim's rule over some area of India created these type of temples. Very nice shot.

This is probably the best photo of this temple I have ever seen. I have never visited the place although I passed by innumerable times. Here it is magically transformed. Terrific view.
[About the architectural point that was mentioned earlier, I agree that the minarets that you see here probably derive from Moslem concepts. But let me add here that the particular gentle arch that is cut off at the ends is typically of Bengal. You can see various forms around this variation in several much older temples in Bengal. Although you can't really see the top arch here, but this temple also has a similar arch.]

This is almost perfect symmetry, with good sharpness and exposure. You have chosen your point of view very well. I am also impressed by the symmetrical structure. TFS.

Very pleasant framing.
It's just beatiful, everywhere I see curves, curves and curves.
The building is just perfect, there are no marks on it. Fantastic!

Such framing, and again such an eye for detail it is perfect symmetrically. Why have I only just discovered your gallery.......so many gems.

Great framing here with the silhouette of the arch. Lovely symmetry, colors and sharpness. The blue sky is the perfect background. This one is going to my favorites. Happy Easter Sunday, Yvonne

I'm feeling very fortunate that I came across this photo.I stay just beside this temple complex and it is thus very native to me.And I've also seen many photos to capture this temple in many ways. But the way you did just stunned me for some moment.The POV is exceptionally good.The arch used as a frame is superb keeping the symmetry.
