Well, back to my favourite subject of photography....
This shot was taken at Howrah Station on the day we started our journey to Himachal. The train in picture is Kolkata Rajdhani Express - one the most prestigeous trains of IR and the most prestigeous of Eastern Railway. This train now runs with the state-of-the-art LHB rakes which looks gorgeous indeed and provides a comfortable and speedy ride.

nice frame describing a typical railway station in india... a snap shot of daily life there...
(sharpness is more, affected the clarity..)

I like pictures taken at railway stations. This one is very nice too and you made nicely use of the train and the reflections in its windows. Pity the light is rather fierce, but good photo, well done!

A little over sharpened perhaps giving way to grains but well chosen POV with the reflections coming in handy. I share your enthusiasm for Railways, I would anyday prefer to travel by rail than air, only if time was not of essence.

Indian railway stations are always full of life. This too is full of life, sometimes i feel if you want to see India you only have to go to a railway station.
Great view of this platform and the train. Congrats and TFS

A pov with which many of us can associate ourselves with.May its a bit noisy because of oversharpening.

I actually like the grainy texture of the image but the overexposed section above the train is a little harsh. A nice, casual image with an interesting setting. The train windows create continuity and add depth to the image. Good colours. Nice work Dhurjati.

Nice perspective, Dhurjati. Just a bit over-sharpened. Use only 'unsharp mask', or if you don't have that option, use sharpening very very mildly, in tiny little steps.
[Now I see that you used Picasa...not something I would recommend]

This photo reminds me my journeys in India. I travelled some thousands kilometers by train. But usually the stations were more crowded.
