A week ago I was out of station for an official purpose. On my way I was passing through this village so I captured this photo portraying Monsoon in Rural Bengal.
In this photo, the hut was made on the lake by a fishermen.. Because they are very poor.. And they have not enough money to buy a land..
Thanks for your visit

Nice frame Indra (with your permission), however would liked to see more, keeping some details of the cloudy sky as your are portraying the hut with a monsoon mood!! However great shot..Have a nice day ahead...Cheers.

B&W by choice wqas probably due to fog & mist over the beach, I assume.
However, I like to see this in natural colors, must be a combined green and blue somewhere.
Fine clear view over the hut, "planted" on water.
Have a nice weekend,

Excellent b&w picture dear Indrashish,
A good form of housing you expose here, of course mosquitos, reptiles and insects may be the defect of living above a lake
Have a nice We

To some people this scene is romantic but to the people who live them it's a hard life. I know, I've seen a lot of them in my native Philippines. Nicely captured with good contrast. Well done, tfs.

Perhaps poor money wise but to be with the water this close is rich in Nature.
Your monochrome enhances the rudimentary simple hut, evoking a simpler time.

I´m really enjoy your B&W pictures. They are taken with great sense and intuition. And of course the are perfectly processed in monochrome.
This one is very expressive with strong contrast and play of light&shade.

Wonderful documentary work of how these people live, and it has an other worldly feel to it, I think perhaps helped by the strong backlight. A really nice idea to convert to black and white (I love black and white photo work!!) and a truly great composition. Really nicely done.
Best wishes from Ireland
