Good B&W compostion ... I like the way captured this lady's facial expression and the way you positioned her in the photo. Excellent contrast and good skin details. Well done ... tfs.

Interesting character you have captured here. Great focus this womans eyes, they are piercing. Very sharp with good detail. Good capture of daily life. Well done.

What a strong portrait, with this luminous and intense look coming from beneath a lightly tilted head.
The foreground is very well managed too.
In my opinion, the composition would be maybe more balanced with a little part of the right side cropped.. I'm not sure.
Anyway, a picture which captured my eyes from the gallery.

Look at those baskets at the entrance, very imaginative . The positioning of the human element adds lot of dynamism in the frame. The dresses hanging in the background adds lines to your short story....
Great work TFS

Wow, very nice piece of work! First of all, the composition is well laid out, with the woman on one side and the door on the other side. Great black & white conversion too, really showing the textures and the lines on the face. Wonderful expression as well. Excellent!

Love it! That is as daily life as it gets. A wonderful capture of a moment in the life of this old lady. Seeing this picture, I can just paint the whole 'daily life' around her in my mind. Enough background to paint a convincing story of rural life in East India and enough focus to call it a wonderful portrait!

This is an awesome portrait. Stunningly powerful, brillinatly conceived. Her strong look framed againts the door of her cottage, with the two rounded baskets symmetrically placed against the door, the illuminated courtyard visible through the door, and the wonderful details in the shadows of the leafy trees, combine to make a very rich image. Bravo!

How to make a interesting porrrait. It all here. Light, a great face, dont get in tight but show the surroundings and better if the surroundings are interesting. Youve done that and this is the result.
