'Durga-Puja' is celebrated mainly by the Bengali community in India. It is a celebration of victory of good over bad. Durga (the invincible and the mother of all) is worshiped for five long days before the idols are immersed. During "aarti" (prayer ritual) the people dance with 'dhunuchi' (earthen pot filled with charcoal and raisin based incense) on the beats of 'dhaks' (bengali drums).

Terrific use of the silhouettes against the strong colours of the background. I also appreciate your note to explain what exactly we're looking at. Thanks for sharing your work here.
Have a fine weekend.
