This is one of the views of Darjeeling town from the Lebong cart road (8 Km.), which connects the town with suburb Lebong. As the whole locality has been flourished over the mountains, so one finds all the houses grazed on the slant. The clouds are always around it.

Ho Somnath, obviously a very green place and interesting. It is difficult to take shots when the sky is such a colour. TFS, Jean

Interesting view Somnath.Inorder to include the whole of the tree, you have overexposed the blunt sky - which I think is not a particularly good idea specially when the sky is patternless and dull. But otherwise I feel, the view is great, the greenery is lovely and fresh and the city of Darjeeling in the lap of the greenery looking very attractive indeed.

pity for the washed out sky though! the +ve part of the framing is that you got the 1/3 rule going, with the whole of the tree inside.
else, would had a wonderful view of 'your place' :)
last night it was cool here in Miramare, almost 4 C!, no bora though.
I'll be back in Dec! :)

Aha Somnath da, you got everything right, except the sky. I know you can not do with the moody sky of Darjeeling. But it was a good effort showing us the cityscape of the queen of the hills! Nice attempt. Subhajit and Swapan da are presently in Darjeeling. Did they meet you?
