Photographer's Note

Earlier during the 90s this was famous for the Horse Races held out here. Today no more races are held but the ground is still intact. The area is inside military base now and a helipad has come out in this area. The ground is used for various sporting activities such as cricket, football and volleyball and military drills.

At one time when the races were held it was the smallest race course in Asia or perhaps the world.
This composition is taken from the mall road(road that circles the highest point in town, observatory hill) so an aerial view. The prayer flags are a common sight in the town and here it adds color to the race course in the background.

Regards,
Dush..
