Lonely Road, a photo from West Bengal, East

Photographer's Note

Two early morning walkers take a walk down an abandoned road on the outskirt of the famous mall area in Darjeeling. Not to many people walk this Lonely Road ,from where you can have a great view of the Majestic Kanchenjunga. Reminds me of the words from a song by Everlast,the American Rapper.

Too much time, thinkin' 'bout all of my mistakes
My heart, my mind, my soul, my body aches
I hunger for the loving arms of your embrace
I walk along the lonely road ..............

Hello Farhat,
Possibly the PP is just slightly overdone with maybe just a bit too saturated colours. On the other hand the light is strong in the Himalayas, so I may be mistaken. In any case it's a lovely composition of the two boys walking along the track facing this magnificent view. The hillside forms a fine diagonal that splits the composition in two halves.

beautiful change of scenery comparing to your last posts.The landscape we can admire here is truly delightful and breathtaking.I like also your idea to include these two persons in the frame,who walk the path.It adds unique mood to the scene-I like it!

An extraordinary landscape, with a well chosen POV, showing this path, with the diagonal of the mountain and a great perspective, whose horizon is all full of big tops, ideal color contrast between this side of the foreground and background picture, the two people walking are a good bonus for the image.

Hello Farhat,

Very nice surrounding, the layers in the picture
creates a nice depth and the path on the
forground emphasize that extra. Composition is
also very good.

One little note: blue sky and higher iso speed
is killing for a photo print even with a DSLR:
in the blue area you will see a lots of noise.
My advise: use always the lowest iso speed (in
this case 80) and you will see even on your pc
screan the differents (test it in differents
iso speed with a blue sky and watch it at home).

Hi Farhat,

You're capturig well this spot by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's impressive to see mountain range and Himalayas in the distance from mountain road. It's effective for mountain roadside in this side with bushes and green plants, too. And, two walkers on road draws out an additional good impact in this image.

This is a really well-composed and beautiful photo. I like how the 2 men are walking away from the camera and positioned to the far right of the frame. They give the image a sense of movement and a sense of scale in comparison to those huge mountains. Exquisite light. Nice work.

The hikers judiciously-located on a vertical tiers line, composition-wise, give life to this piece of Earth hanging half way towards the skies for a splendid overlook on distant mountains!

Hello Farhat,
With the slight slope and the leaning branches of the tree at the left a feeling of a half hollow path is created. This in strong contrast with the fantastic panorama we can see in the right half of the picture.
The view of the Kanchenjunga is simply awesome.
The two men give a good sense of scale in this almost boundless space.

this lonely road (shared with a friend in the picture) is very lovely too. I like very much your composition that divides effectively the scene in two, the foreground with its warm rich colours and vivid textures and the fascinating distant view of the mountains and the sky. The walking people are superbly placed in the frame and connect the two parts too. The colour contrast is marvellous.
